We are seeking a general practitioner / family medicine specialist to a health center in Central Sweden.
The health center serves approximately 5,500 patients and has a strong team of 30 healthcare professionals. The center provides both planned and urgent care, along with specialized clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD and hypertension. Integrated with local community services, the center offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for digital healthcare consultations.
Requirements:
Holds an EU specialist certification in family medicine or as a general practitioner.
Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn Swedish.
Valid driver’s license.
Teamwork skills, independence and an empathetic approach to patient care.
Your role:
As a family medicine specialist at this health center, your responsibilities will include:
Performing routine outpatient work.
Conducting home visits.
Potential for medical responsibility in elderly care within the community.
Opportunities to work at the child health clinic.
Mentoring future residency doctors as you advance in your role.
Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to support patients on sick leave.
Work hours and flexibility:
Full-time role with flexible hours.
On-call duty 2–3 times per month at a nearby family health center.
