Approximate Work Schedule: 14h30 - 21h00 daily with possibility of variable shifts, 13h00 - 21h00 one day a week (change) full day, one day a week spent. Off days in compensation depending on the guest calendar.
Role Description: Our agritourismo is looking for a Cook who will be responsible for preparing vegetarian meals served buffet style for our guests (max 25 people). The selected figure will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen at the end of the shift, support in general farmhouse cleaning activities (usually 1 day per week) and depending on requests for cooking classes (max 4 per month), teach our guests the preparation of typical Italian dishes or otherwise from our menu (ex: pasta, pizza, bread, gnocchi, lasagna and some desserts). In addition, the candidate will be in charge of managing the shopping and procurement of necessary ingredients, always taking into account the farm's garden supply.
Main Responsibilities: Preparing evening vegetarian buffet meals for farmhouse guests, following exclusively vegetarian recipes. Cleaning kitchen, dishes and closing kitchen. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, compliance with HACCP standards.
1 time per week:
- General farmhouse cleaning activities.
- Food stock management and procurement Extraordinary tasks:
- cooking classes
- special preparations ex: bread/pizza and preserves ex: jams, pickles, olives, drying according to
business needs Requirements:
- Previous experience in the role of cook, preferably in similar establishments (agritourismo, restaurants, hotels).
- HACCP certification.
- Flexibility and willingness to work evening and weekend shifts.
- Flexibility with respect to days off that will be compensated according to the guest schedule.
- Skill in managing grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, passion for cooking and attention to
detail, research and attention to presentation
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of food intolerances (celiac, vegan, dairy-free) and flexibility in preparation as needed.
- Knowledge of English language appreciated but not required. Italian is required
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for groceries.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
